Spoilt rotten Richard was not a happy boy.
Why does daddy gets to drive a McLaren, he thought, while I have to make do with a scooter?
So spoilt rotten Richard did what he always does to get his way.
He asked: “Daddy, can I have a McLaren of my own? I want one.”
Needless to say, he’s now got one because he always gets his way with daddy.
It’s a model of the McLaren 720S called the ‘Ride-On.’ Children will love it, because they’re bound to know that the 720S was recently voted World Performance Car 2019 by the World Car of the Year jury.
It comes with a choice of seven colours – an eighth Papaya Spark launch colour arrives later in the year – along with an infotainment system that can play music and show a movie on its dashboard screen and remote control for ‘autonomous’ or parental driving mode.
Suitable for three to six year olds It also features working dihedral doors with exposed carbon-style elements and signature 720S styling cues.
The Ride-On is powered by an electric motor operated by a working accelerator pedal with added engine sounds.
It starts with a key, has a brake light as well as a dashboard display that gives information.
Kids can watch films or videos using its USB port or SD card reader, while a selection of popular songs for six-year-olds is pre-loaded into the system.
Choose from Azores Orange, Belize Blue, Lantana Purple, Onyx Black, Mauvine Blue, Silica White, or Saros Grey.
Priced from £315, a video has been released and can be viewed here:
It’s available to order now from what McLaren call “selected global stores”
